An Elaborate Performance in Cali
Today we are going back to Cali, Colombia. Cali is a comparatively modern and, it must be said, ugly city and is rather light on standard tourist attractions. The nicest neighborhoods were built back in the sixties and seventies; practically nothing built after that has any redeeming value. The city is known for its nightlife, particularly for its salsa clubs, probably because the city does not have much else.
I still had an excellent time there and met some interesting travelers and Colombians. One night a few of us headed out and landed at this discotheque. I was truly impressed with the performance I watched…kind of sci fi haloish.
