Popular Casino Destinations in South America

The fact is I am not much of a gambler. I typically place last in any poker games and throw away my money in minutes in slot machines. But when you do some South America travel or any other country for that matter, it can be pretty cool to try your luck gambling.

For instance when In Buenos Aires Argentina I went to the horse track to bet and of course lose my money on a few races. In Quito I visited a few nice casinos for some quick $30 loss in blackjack. But if you are gambling in South America it’s always a good idea to check out the Casino Promos. While I have never been to Vegas if you do you’re research you will come away with more than a few free drinks for sure. In a Casino in Quito I was given some free grilled cheese. Where would that ever happen?

If you’re not confident you will win any money think about it this way. You will meet people. Just as going out to a disco at night works wonders for making new friends so does a Casino. Are you an old lady? Check out the slot machines! Trying to start a new business? Try Blackjack or Poker tables to mingle with the businessmen. It’s likely that playing one of those games in a foreign language means that someone will take you under their wing translating each move for you. Say you want to get to know the seedy underground places of a city. Even the worst areas of a city will have a casino with at least some slot machines. Now take Colombia for example. In Bogota its pretty typical to gamble on guinea pigs. While this is a delicacy to be eaten in Ecuador in Bogota they put some cups in a circle and throw the pig in the middle. People place their bets on a cup and once the guinea pig is released it will eventually touch a cup to make that gambler the winner. Pretty strange but its good fun. If you have any favorite gambling destinations please share.
